Take Care Of Yourself

When you have so much going on it is easy to forget about your own well being. When your mind is run down it often has a huge impact on how your body is going to feel. Oftentimes you will not be able to perform at your best in your sport and in the classroom without giving your mind and body a break. You don’t want to get to a point where you ignore your well being for so long that you completely unravel. Even if that means taking that break from studying for that test you have tomorrow. That break will help you stay focused in return.

A great start to taking care of yourself is to find the thing or things that relaxes you. It should be something that makes you calm and enables you to drop into yourself. You can read, draw, take a bath, anything that allows your mind to take a breather. By taking this time to yourself, you alleviate the constant pressure to balance but instead take a look at yourself to see all you have accomplished. All the wear and tear on your mind and body slowly cripples you. So take that time to yourself!
